Weekly Weather Forecast (January 29-February 4)

Northwest China: January 29, the region will be dominated by sunny to cloudy skies. January 30-31, affected by light streams of cold air western and northern Xinjiang, Gansu, Ningxia and Shaanxi will be overcast with a little snow accompanied by force 4 to 5 northerly winds. Northern Xinjiang will blow force 5 to 6 northerly winds. Most of the region will experience lower temperatures with drops of 4-8 degrees. February 1-4, most areas will continue to be sunny to cloudy.

 

North China: January 29-30, affected by strong cold air streams northernmost and eastern areas will be overcast with light to moderate snow. Some of eastern Inner Mongolia will have heavy falls with snowstorms likely in some places. Most of the region will have force 5 to 7 northerly winds with temperature falling 6-10 degrees or even more in some areas. January 31- February 4, the region will have sunny to cloudy skies. February 3- 4, central and southern parts will have fog.

 

Northeast China: February 29-31, affected by strong streams of cold air most parts will receive light to moderate snow with heavy, stormy snowfall expected in some of easternmost and southern parts. This will be accompanied by force 5 to 7 southerly and then northerly winds. Temperatures will drop 8-12 degrees. January 31-February 2, the region will be dominated by sunny to cloudy weather. February 3-4, most parts will be cloudy with possible light to moderate snow. It’ll then turn sunny with fog accompanied by force 4 to 6 southerly and then northerly winds.

 

Central China: January 29-31, affected by cold air the region will blow force 4 to 6 winds from north to south with temperatures declining 6-10 degrees. February 1-2, the region will be sunny to cloudy. February 3-4, most parts will be cloudy to overcast with light rainfall and fog.

 

East China: January 29, most parts will be cloudy to overcast with occasional snow showers or sleet in some areas. January 30-31, affected by cold air the region will encounter force 5 to 7 northerly winds from north to south. The Shandong Peninsula will have light to moderate snow with heavy snowfall in parts. Temperature will drop 6-10 degrees. February 1-2, the region will be sunny to cloudy. February 3-4, the area will turn overcast with light to moderate rain or snow and possibly fog.

 

South China: January 29-31, the region will be dominated by sunny to cloudy skies. February 1- 2, affected by cold air the area will become overcast with light rain accompanied by force 4 northerly winds and lower temperatures. February 3-4, the region will have light to moderate rain.  

 

Southwest China: January 29-30, eastern parts will be overcast with light rain or snow. January 31-February 1, affected by streams of cold air eastern parts will have light to moderate rain or snow with colder temperatures. Some of southeastern Sichuan and western Guizhou will encounter hailstones while eastern Sichuan, Chongqing and Guizhou will have force 4 northerly winds. February 2-4, most parts will be overcast with light to moderate rain or snowfall.
