Holders of China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) passports will enjoy visa-free stay of up to 90 days in the Republic of Korea (ROK) for tourism, business and transit purposes as of January 1, 2003, compared with the current limit of 30 days.
The Identification Bureau of the SAR government announced Friday that on the basis of reciprocity, those who hold the ROK passports will also be able to enter the Macao SAR without visas for stay of up to 90 days.
Macao has so far signed official agreements with more than 30 countries and regions on mutual exemption of visa requirements, greatly pushing the SAR's social and economic development.
