A stoneware processing workshop has been discovered in Gexinqiao Site in Baise City of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The workshop is, according to archeologists, the largest one from the New Stone Age.
The 500-square meter workshop contained thousands of tools, raw materials and pieces of stoneware left by ancient man.
"This place was inhabited by people in ancient time," said Xie Guangmao, director of the regional group of archeologists.
Two ancient tombs, several animal bones and thousands of pieces of stoneware and pottery have also been found at the Gexinqiao Site.
According to Xie, the finds date back about six to seven thousand years.
The Gexinqiao Site is located in Baise Basin, where over 70 sites have been found in the past three decades.
