Dining Halls at Beijing Universities Re-open After Blasts
The dining halls at Beijing and Qinghua (Tsinghua) universities have reopened after being rocked by simultaneous bomb blasts Tuesday.

The Nongyuan Dining Hall at Beijing University in China's capital greeted the first batch of 2,000 diners yesterday evening, 1,000 fewer than usual.

A university official said workers were rushing to repair the roof and broken windows. It would take another four or five days to complete.

The three-storey hall built in 2001 that covers a floor space of 9,700 square meters, is believed the largest student dining hall in Asia.

The Heyuan Dining Hall of the Qinghua University reopened to students on Wednesday.

Tuesday's blasts on the campuses of the two prestigious universities injured nine people altogether.
