A-Do, hot construction-foreman-turned-pop-king will grace the Hongkou Stadium on April 26 with three other pop stars - Terry Lin, Chris Yu and Chou Huey.
Organizers said A-Do is regarded as the most legendary newcomer to be catapulted into pop music's inner circle. He has held pop concerts across China in the shortest period after stepping into stardom.
His hoarse-sounding yet soothing voice made A-Do stand out among some 3,000 candidates in auditions held in Singapore in 1999 and after two years of meticulous planning and effort he has become the most popular male new star in Chinese-speaking communities across the world.
Consequently, his unique sound also earned him the title "excellent singer with healing magic in his voice."
Apart from his rich voice, pop music critics also have praise for his singing technique. A-Do is very quick at learning and presenting new songs and usually after listening to the demos of new songs for only two to three times, he is able to record the songs.
In this concert, A-Do will sing most of his hits from his two albums, which will make the fans feel high all the time, according to the organizers.
The organizers believe that the four stars will be the heaviest box-office hits for this April, as none of them has held concerts in the city before and yet they are all well-trained for live performances.
In order to attract more pop-fans to the concert, the organizers have used low-pricing strategies, which have already earned the applause of a multitude of young fans.
