International Flights Resume at NE China Airport
The Taoxian International Airport in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province will reopen to international flights on July 5.

Air travel from Shenyang to many countries was suspended in late April due to the outbreak of the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) in China.

In response to the World Health Organization's removal of its travel advisory against the SARS-affected areas in China, airline companies of Russia, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) have gradually re-established flights to China since June.

Airport officials said that flights from Shenyang to Osaka, a city of southern Honshu of Japan, resumed Tuesday. The flights, twice every week, are on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

In addition, from July 5, flights from Shenyang to Pushan City, in the ROK, will resume every Tuesday and Saturday.
