Six people were killed and one was injured early Monday morning in a traffic accident 53 kilometers north of Beijing, sources with the local police said.

The accident occurred at 1:45 a.m. when a truck struck a bus and crashed into four other cars.

The six people were killed and one was injured.

The truck's operating license had expired, and the driver has been detained, said the police.
