25 flights were delayed at Haikou Meilan Airport on Tuesday morning due to a dense fog covering northern Hainan.

The fog began covering the airport at about 1:00 am and the visibility was low, which forced 7 flights to land at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport and Sanya Phoenix Airport.

The fog didn't clear until 10:00 am.

Weather forecast said it would be foggy in central and northern Hainan in the next two days.
