Forbidden City Bracing for Influx of Visitors

In the run up to the national May Day holiday, the Forbidden City in the Chinese capital Beijing has taken a series of measures in anticipation of the influx of visitors from across the country.

From May 1st to 3rd, the historical site will open at 7:30 am, one hour earlier than on ordinary days.

Also, over twenty portable toilets and two special ticket sales buses will be in service during the coming peak travel period, and more cleaners will be employed to maintain a clean environment in parks.

Additionally, the Forbidden City has designed new tour routes to better direct the flow of visitors.
