US Northwest Airlines to Provide New Services in China

American Northwest Airlines will provide new services on routes from Beijing and Shanghai to the United States via Tokyo.

Vice president of the company's international department said the fresh move is to meet the growing aviation demand, improve airport equipment, and strengthen cabin service.

The company will launch a route from China to Portland via Tokyo and resume the route from China to Hawaii via Los Angeles beginning June 10.

From October, newly delivered Airbus A330-200 long-haul aircrafts will fly routes to Beijing.

The company will also introduce self-service checking equipment in Beijing International Airport by the end of this year.
