The Russian delegation attending the six-party talks on the Korean nuclear issue left Beijing for home Sunday noon.
Alexander Losiukov, Russian deputy foreign minister and head of the Russian delegation, said that the Russian side highly appreciated the excellent organizing work that China had done during the talks. He said China had created every necessary condition for the talks to be constructive and fruitful.
The results of the six-party talks were conducive, he said. Losiukov said this was a highly meaningful thing that all the six parties exchanged opinions and explained their own stance.
He said only through talks can denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula be guaranteed and the interests of all parties concerned be safeguarded.
Other delegations from the United States, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the Republic of Korea and Japan left Beijing on Friday evening and Saturday separately. The Russian delegation was the last foreign delegation that left Beijing.
The Beijing six-party talks were held at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing from Wednesday to Friday.
