The three-month long exhibition on Tibetan Embroidery Arts and Crafts, which kicked off in Nepal's capital on Tuesday, has become a major attraction in town.

The exhibition showcases dozens of magnificent art works created by the Chinese artists.

The centuries-old displayed arts and crafts are mostly related to stories of history, mystical energy and life cycles. The exhibition aims to present Chinese culture among the Nepali people and strengthen the cultural bonding between the two neighbors.

Besides Kathmandu, the exhibition will be organized in other cities like Pokhara, Chitwan and Lumbini. The organizer has also planned to hold discussions and workshops on embroidery arts and crafts.

On the occasion, former minister and Nepali Congress leader Sujata Koirala said that Nepal needs to learn from China about the protection and conservation of cultural heritages.

"These displayed arts are rich in reflecting Buddhist culture and history. We appreciate the way China has put efforts in cultural preservation and we should replicate the same," Koirala said.

Addressing the function, the cultural department chief at the Chinese Embassy in Nepal said that the exhibition can work as a bridge between the cultures of two countries.
