Wuyuan: an ideal wild bird habitat

A flock of Mandarin ducks (Aix galericulata) hover across a lake in Wuyuan County, east China's Jiangxi Province, Nov. 17, 2012. Mandarin duck is listed as one of China's Class-II State-Protected Species. Wuyuan's environmental protection efforts in recent years has turned it into an ideal wild bird habitat. More than 370 wild bird species, including 36 endangered species, now live in the county's 193 conservation areas. [Xinhua]
