Rare summer snow hits Gansu

A rare summer snow blanketed Shandan County in Gansu Province on May 10 with snow depth reaching four inches. It's the first snowfall the county has ever seen in May, when Lixia - the 7th solar term according to the traditional Chinese calendar marking the beginning of summer - falls. [Photo/CNS]
