The Washington Monument is seen through thick fog in Washington D.C., the United States, Dec. 24, 2014. The U.S. capital had a foggy and rainy Christmas Eve Wednesday, with the visibility below a half mile at times and even down to 200 meters. (Xinhua/Yin Bogu)
