Rain and snow will hit quake-affected regions in Tibet again on Tuesday, complicating the rescue work there, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) forecast on Monday.

The quake-affected regions in Tibet will see light to moderate rain or snow starting on Tuesday night, along with strong winds, the NMC predicted, urging authorities to prepare for possible safety hazards.

A 8.1-magnitude quake shook Nepal at 2:11 p.m. (Beijing Time) on Saturday. The quake also affected some parts of Tibet, which is adjacent to Nepal.

Quake-triggered landslides have blocked many sections of road to Tibet's border towns of Gyirong and Zham. At least twenty people have been reported dead in the region following the strong quake.
