The 18th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC and the 8th session of the Conference of the Parties, serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol, takes place from Nov. 26 to Dec. 7 at the Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha, Qatar. The 177,000 m2-large convention center, with an organic structure resembling two intertwined trees in the main façade and a large spider sculpture named Maman inside, receives streams of delegates and reporters from all over the world during this time.
