Chinese Foreign Ministry announced Monday that the first phase
of the fifth-round six-party talks will run from November 9 to 11
with the actual schedule to be decided by all parties.
Aiming at resolving the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula,
the new round of six-party talks, which involves China, the US,
Russia, Japan, North and South Korea, will start on November 9 in
Beijing.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Kong Quan said earlier that
holding the talks by phases in the new round could have a better
