Citigroup Donates Nearly US$4 Mln to Poor Education

Citigroup said on Wednesday it will donate US$3.9 million to an education project aimed at helping millions of poverty-stricken people worldwide make better financial decisions and improve their standard of living.

 

At least 2 million illiterate and poorly-educated people, including those from China, would benefit from the project, it announced at a news conference.

 

Courses include budget and cash flow, debt management, savings, financial negotiation and banking services, the group said.
