Following are the latest statistics from China's Ministry of Health
on severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) in the interior of
China.
Between April 11 and 13, 33 new cases were reported in Guangdong
Province in south China and 42 SARS patients in the province were
discharged from hospital.
Shanxi Province in the north reported 47 new cases and three deaths
during the same period, with two recoveries, while Beijing
reporting nine new cases and seven recoveries, and the Inner
Mongolia Autonomous Region reporting 17 new cases and three
deaths.
Three people in east China's Fujian Province were infected by
SARS.
The cumulative number of SARS cases had reached 1,418, with 64
deaths. A total of 1,088 patients had been discharged from
hospital.
