A computer expo in Hong Kong was postponed from May to August due
to the outbreak of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS),
said the organizer on Tuesday.
The expo originally set for May 15-18 in Hong Kong was rescheduled
to be open on August 7.
"This re-scheduling is necessary due to the continuing outbreak of
SARS in Hong Kong," said the organizer in a statement released on
Tuesday.
"Exhibitors and visitors alike continue to express both their
strong desire to attend this successful fair and their health
concerns due to SARS," said the statement.
The computer expo is the premier computer and information
technology exhibition in Hong Kong and the visitor traffic is
extremely high. Last year, over 60,000 techno-enthusiastic visited
the four-day expo.
