Maximum Efforts Required to Enhance Exam Hall Hygiene
Education authorities across the country are required to make the maximum efforts to safeguard the health of the national college entrance exam participants amid the fight against severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), China Daily's Friday edition reported.

SARS patients and suspected ones are not allowed to take part in the nationwide examination, which will be held as scheduled on June 7 and 8.

Spare examination rooms have been prepared across the country, in line with the requirements of the ministries of health and education.

Beijing's Municipal Education Commission said enhanced hygiene management has been planned to guarantee the health of students and teachers and ensure the exam proceed smoothly.

Similar strict measures have also been take in other places allover the country, according to the English-language newspaper.
