Ukraine and Latvia have congratulated China on its victory in
fighting severe acute respiratory syndrome, the Chinese Foreign
Ministry said on Tuesday.
In
their recent separate messages to Chinese President Hu Jintao,
Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma and Latvian President Vaira
Vike-Freiberga spoke highly of the persistent efforts made by the
Chinese government and people in the fight against the global
epidemic.
They believed that the Chinese people can overcome any difficulties
on their road ahead.
