Most of 4,660 proposals raised on the Third Session of the 10th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) have been answered by related departments.

According to the news release of the Subcommittee for Handling Proposals of 10th CPPCC National Committee on Tuesday, 4,496 proposals, 96.48 percent of the total, have been accepted and investigated by related governmental and Party departments.

Zhu Peikang, vice-chairman of the Subcommittee, said CPPCC members' proposals to governmental and Party departments constitute an essential way to help the state to make scientific and democratic decisions.

In the Third Session of 10th CPPCC National Committee, 2009 CPPCC members, 87.58 percent of the total, participated in raising proposals, Zhu said.

The proposals have been more valuable and practical to the government's work, such as proposals on boosting the development of central China and mechanism of increasing farmer's income in major crop production areas, he said.
