Aerospace lab to be set up in Hefei high-tech zone

The Hefei National High-Tech Industry Zone – located in Hefei, the capital of East China's Anhui province – will build the first aerospace laboratory there to help young folks to foster their interest in scientific exploration.
The zone is attaching great importance to galvanizing the zeal of young people in sci-tech and in cultivating talent in scientific innovation.

To build a sound scientific teaching system and cultivate talent in sci-tech innovation, the school – affiliated to the University of Science and Technology of China – will build an aerospace laboratory.
The equipment procurement for the lab has been completed and it will be open for operations soon.
Constructed by Geovis, a high-tech company engaged in aerospace data systems and services, the lab is the first such facility in the zone and it will move to be model for innovative teaching.

The laboratory will be equipped with facilities such as satellites, Mars probes, Long March rockets, Chang'e-4 probes and aerospace engineering integration functionality.
It will also provide software systems for teaching programs in space science, astronomical knowledge, aerospace engineering, satellite measurements and controls and simulated aerospace missions.
The resources will be made available for students to practice and explore their knowledge related to space rocket structure designs and launch principles.
