The recognition is said to have sent a signal that the Hefei high-tech zone has taken another step towards integration into the Yangtze River Delta region.

With a total floor space of about 1.3 million square meters, the entrepreneurship park is home to several sub-parks, with their main business covering software, new materials, mechanical and electrical manufacturing.

Plans are for the park to create an innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem that meets the needs of enterprises using platforms for intelligent technology, finance, services and incubation.

By the end of 2022, the park was home to more than 1,300 tenants and 13 stock market-listed companies – 26 of them listed on China's "new third board", 828 being national high-tech enterprises and 254 high-growth companies.

It has developed a group of information technology-driven industries, including integrated circuit designs, quantum information and the digital economy.
