All the 35 listed companies in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone showcased impressive revenue gains and profitability in 2023, injecting new momentum into the development of the zone.

The total value of these companies reached 446.27 billion yuan ($61.58 billion) in 2023, and their revenue combined exceeded 170 billion yuan with a total profit of 16.01 billion yuan, according to their annual reports for 2023. 

Last year, the zone invested a lot in industries such as computer, power equipment, medicine and biology, architectural decoration, and machinery and equipment. The public companies in the zone cover a number of emerging industries including artificial intelligence, photovoltaic new energy, biomedicine, and quantum technology.

China Speech Valley is China's first AI-oriented industrial park at the national level. With iFlytek, Huami Corp, Leinao, and numerous renowned leading companies operating in the park, China Speech Valley is a comprehensive and innovative industrial park focusing on speech recognition, artificial intelligence, cyber security, quantum information, and aerospace information. 

At the end of last year, 1,518 companies opened offices in the industrial park and their combined revenue reached 170.7 billion yuan. Among them, 13 are public companies, and more than 60 are industry leaders including QuantumCTek, Origin Quantum, and CIQTEK.

In addition, there are 700-odd biomedicine companies in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone. Some big names among them include Anhui Anke Biotechnology, OVCTEK, Wanbang Biopharmaceuticals, and PreceDo Medical Laboratory.

The Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone is actively promoting sustainable development, with two companies rated AA and four companies rated A under a rating scheme of environment, society, and governance.
