Chen Xiao, commanding officer of Tiandu-1 and Tiandu-2 satellites, led his team in the past two years to successfully develop and launch these satellites, and complete the first-ever circumlunar orbit formation flight as well as technical experiments.
Zhao Bowen, chairman and general manager of Anhui Guosheng Quantum Technology Co., Ltd., and his colleagues have devoted 15 years to quantum precision measurement. They recently introduced the nation's first provincial quantum measurement standard. Emerging as a quantum information powerhouse, the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone is home to over 60 enterprises in this sector, more than other cities in China.
Yao Tao, professor at the University of Science and Technology of China, has been dedicated to clean energy and cutting-edge technology research since 2006. In recent years, Yao and his team have independently developed and produced low-cost, high-performance products, addressing technological gaps in hydrogen energy in Anhui province. Core products such as low-platinum and low-iridium catalysts have been successfully mass-produced.
Lu Xiaoming, chief medical physics specialist at Hefei CAS Ion Medical and Technical Devices Co. Ltd. is spearheading the research and development, debugging, as well as clinical trials of the domestically produced superconducting proton radiotherapy system. Currently, Lu and his team are conducting preclinical debugging of the equipment, ensuring the initiation of clinical trials in 2025. At the same time, they are also developing a new-type mini360 micro proton system, which is expected to revolutionize proton therapy methods with lower costs.
