The core area of the Grand Union of Innovation, the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone has achieved fruitful results in attracting projects, constructing platforms, and fostering an innovation ecosystem.

Over the past two years, the zone has added five quality facilities including the Big Data Industrial Park and Biomedical Industrial Park, and seven high-level innovation platforms have been designated as pilot programs. By the end of 2023, the zone had established seven national-level and four provincial-level incubators and innovation spaces, breaking new ground in the integration of science, industry, and urban development.

During this period, the zone has actively cultivated industries such as quantum technology and aerospace information. It established the country's first Quantum Information Future Industry Science and Technology Park, positioning itself as a hub for technological innovation and emerging sectors. By the end of 2023, the zone had 16 high-level innovation platforms.

During this period, the zone has attracted 63 financial institutions, including 11 funds with a total scale exceeding 30 billion yuan (S$4.1 billion). The zone has also awarded enterprises that have improved their quality standards.

Looking ahead, the zone aims to leverage its innovation resources by collaborating with global partners to enhance resource synergy, sci-tech services, investment, and incubation. Its focuses include accelerating the aggregation of venture capital and investment, attracting more fund investment, and transforming the Grand Union of Innovation into a leading hub for innovation and high-end industries.
