Hefei high-tech zone vows to attract talent

Nearly 30 doctoral students from Tsinghua University, Wuhan University, Jilin University, and other top Chinese universities recently visited key industrial enterprises in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, including Sungrow Power, Origin Quantum, and Zerog Aircraft Industry.

In recent years, the Hefei high-tech zone has been scrambling for talent and hiring new graduates. In the first half of this year, the zone organized 269 job affairs in more than 10 cities such as Nanjing, Wuhan, and Chengdu, aiming to fill 15,000 positions of over 5,000 companies. At the fairs, 14,000 college graduates expressed intentions to take the job vacancies.
The zone has also accelerated the introduction and cultivation of future-oriented industries such as artificial intelligence, quantum technology, and aerospace. At present, the zone is home to more than 3,000 national high-tech enterprises and more than 600 start-ups.

As Chinese employers are in a tight race for talent amid a changing landscape of the global economy, the zone has held a series of activities and open days to showcase its research and development strength and innovative environment, attracting scientific research professionals.
In the future, the zone will continuously support enterprises, work with colleges, optimize the employment environment, and provide better services for high-caliber professionals, so as to become a fertile ground for entrepreneurship and business as well as a world-class high-tech industrial park.
