3rd Anhui Entrepreneurship Competition holds roadshow in Shanghai

A roadshow for the third Anhui Entrepreneurship Competition kicked off in Shanghai on Aug. 29. The event doubled as a promotion meeting of USTC Silicon Valley, providing communication and cooperation opportunities for both Anhui and Shanghai high-tech enterprises and investment organizations, covering biofabrication, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and related emerging industries.

During the discussion section, entrepreneurs from different sectors shared their experience and success stories, exchanged views on the keys to running businesses, and explored systematic approaches and practical measures to solve difficulties and challenges.

As a pioneer of Anhui's innovation and entrepreneurship, the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone has beefed up efforts to advance modern sci-tech innovation system, boost strategic emerging industries, and support high-tech enterprises to develop new quality productive forces. It has been ranked in the top 10 national high-tech zones across China for nine consecutive years, with more famous brands like China Speech Valley settling in the zone.

As of 2023, there were more than 100,000 market entities located in the zone, including nearly 80,000 enterprises. Among them, 64 were specialized and sophisticated enterprises that produce new and unique products. The number of high-tech enterprises in the zone exceeded 3,000, accounting for nearly 40% of the total number in Hefei.
Last year also saw four companies in the region going public, bringing the total number of listed enterprises to 39, which accounted for 40% of the city's total. As of 2023, the zone had 22 enterprises identified as the city's first batch of enterprise headquarters, accounting for Hefei's 30% and ranking first in the city.
