The Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone showcased a slew of its latest lineup of products and sci-tech accomplishments at the 2024 World Manufacturing Convention held in Heifei, Anhui province, from Sept. 20-23.
Aerospace information
At the main venue of the convention, the zone's deep space exploration laboratory exhibited its models of test satellites. The test satellites will provide communications, navigation, and remote-sensing services for communication networks between Earth and the Moon, and facilitate the space internet and the International Lunar Research Station in the future.
In March, two communication and navigation technology test satellites Tiandu-1 and Tiandu-2 were sent into space by the Long March-8 carrier rocket. These satellites, developed by the deep space exploration laboratory, completed China's first-ever circumlunar orbit formation flight.

Artificial intelligence
A humanoid robot developed by VSTC, a leading sci-tech company in the Hefei high-tech zone, took center stage at the 2024 World Manufacturing Convention.
Based on the "CSPACE real-time simulation control system," the robot can autonomously complete several tasks, such as flexible assembly and material handling, and can replace manual safety inspection in a dangerous environment using its precise sensor system. It is also expected to be widely used in multiple scenarios, including search and rescue, smart education, domestic care, and customer service.

Quantum technology
In January, Origin Quantum officially released its third-generation superconducting quantum computer Origin Wukong. Up to now, it has received more than 14.66 million remote visits globally. People from 133 countries and regions have remotely accessed Origin Wukong, which has completed over 266,000 quantum computing tasks.
Origin Quantum is currently making great efforts to apply quantum computing to fin-tech, biomedicine, quantum artificial intelligence, and other fields, aiming to enable more diversified, effective, and convenient uses of quantum computing.

Intelligent products
A number of intelligent products created by enterprises in Hefei high-tech zone drew a lot of attention at the convention. As an innovation hub, the zone is committed to fostering new growth drivers and major industrial clusters.
Looking forward, the zone will beef up efforts to promote strategic and emerging industries. In terms of modern industries, new forms of businesses, such as artificial intelligence, integrated circuits, cybersecurity, and precision medicine, as well as advanced manufacturing, including photovoltaic, automobiles, home appliances, and high-end equipment, will be further developed. In terms of future-oriented industries, new sectors like quantum technology and aerospace information, and frontier fields like synthetic biology and metaverse will be developed with forward-thinking plans.
