The Institute of Advanced Technology in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone has been speeding up the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements.
Since 2019, the institute has incubated over 300 technology innovation enterprises, of which more than 100 have been recognized as national high-tech enterprises, and over 70 classified as high-growth companies.
Sky Net, a drone quantum security management and control service platform independently developed by Anhui Huadian Big Data, was the latest example of the institute's efforts toward sci-tech commercialization. The service platform integrates quantum encryption technology with drone operations to enhance security for the low-altitude economy.
Backed by the institute's independent innovation capabilities, Anhui Huadian Big Data has developed China's first quantum-secure database.
These products have already been commercially implemented across sectors, including government administration, finance and insurance, and the management of smart cities.
In recent years, the institute has focused on innovation as its primary driving force, turning itself into a new type of research and development establishment that supports regional industrial growth and talent development.
The institute was jointly established by Anhui province, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hefei city, and the University of Science and Technology of China.
