Origin Wukong, China's third-generation superconducting quantum computer, has completed more than 320,000 quantum computing tasks within a year for over 18 million users from 139 countries and regions.
On Jan. 6, 2024, Origin Quantum, China's first quantum computing company, delivered its latest superconducting quantum computer, marking China's entrance into the era of quantum computing application.
Quantum computing is being widely used by cutting-edge industries such as computational fluid dynamics, finance, and biomedicine.
As an important concept in aerospace, automotive engineering, and ship design, computational fluid dynamics is closely related to the design of aircrafts, automobiles, and ships. The improvement of computing power serves to speed up new iterations of aircrafts and automobiles, and reduce their design costs.
In the finance sector, quantum computing can be used for risk management, portfolio optimization, option pricing, and financial market forecasting. In April last year, Origin Wukong released the world's largest physical device application for portfolio optimization and the first of its kind designed with a distributed quantum computing approach.
In biomedicine, quantum computing can help in key areas such as drug design, protein structure prediction, and analysis and processing of medical data. At present, Origin Wukong has launched a number of applications based on physical quantum computing chips, including predicting molecular docking, drug toxicities, and drug interactions.
Origin Quantum is a leading quantum computing company in China, founded in Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone in 2017. As of the end of 2024, the zone was home to over 60 enterprises in the quantum industrial chain, including more than 30 core companies.
