In recent years, the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone has made all-out efforts to boost the private sector. In 2024, 36 enterprises with high growth potentials, advanced technologies, and strong market competitive edge became newly registered in the zone, 35 of which are private enterprises.

iFlytek, founded in the zone in 1999, has become a world leader in artificial intelligence. With the company as the center, the zone established China Speech Valley, gathering more than 1,500 enterprises in artificial intelligence industrial chain.

Hefei Gaoxin Group established a financial service system providing full life-cycle services for sci-tech enterprises to support the development of high-tech industries in such fields as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, aerospace, and new energy.

Around the start of 2025, two enterprises in the zone went public, raising its total number of listed companies to 35.

To better serve local private firms, the zone issued a series of supporting policies, set up a grade-specific cultivation system for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that use specialized and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products as well as potential listed companies, and provided customized training and guidance for each enterprise.

The zone is committed to fostering industrial clusters. Currently, it is home to 64 quantum technology enterprises, nearly 30 sitting at both sides of the "Quantum Avenue," which have achieved great successes in sectors of aerospace information, integrated circuits, and biomedicine.

Relying on various support and guidance measures, private enterprises in the zone will surely embrace a bright future.
