The 2025 World Expo opened in Osaka, Japan, on Sunday. The China Pavilion, themed "Building a Community of Life for Man and Nature — Future Society of Green Development," displayed cutting-edge innovations including lunar soil samples collected by the Chang'e-5 mission and the Jiaolong deep-sea submersible experience capsule.

Among these technological marvels, iFlytek, a company focusing on intelligent speech and technology and based in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, stole the spotlight with its "AI Monkey King," a trilingual interactive system powered by the domestically developed iFlytek Spark Large Model.

The centerpiece of the pavilion, "AI Monkey King," leverages the Spark Model's multilingual real-time interaction capabilities to engage with global visitors. Integrating advanced noise-resistant speech recognition, multi-emotional hyper-realistic voice synthesis, and cross-modal interaction technologies, the exhibit provides humorous Q&A sessions and intelligent guided tours. It stands as the sole large language model (LLM) demonstration in the China Pavilion.

Reimagining the iconic Monkey King from the 1964 Chinese animation "The Monkey King: Uproar in Heaven," iFlytek employed AI-driven 3D modeling, voice cloning, lip-sync prediction, and image processing to resurrect the character's signature movements and voice. Each cloud-surfing gesture now carries six decades of cultural legacy, seamlessly merged with cutting-edge AI.

iFlytek's fusion of scientific rigor and cultural depth has endowed "AI Monkey King" with cognitive abilities rivaling scientists. Built on the Spark Model framework, the system combines scientific education LLMs, adaptive logical reasoning, a vast repository of scientific knowledge, and real-time contextual understanding.
The AI further taps into interactive data base of the World Expo through iFlytek's Virtual Human Interaction Platform, enabling face-to-face conversations with contextual humor, instantaneous multilingual Q&A in Chinese, Japanese, and English, as well as accurate navigation guidance.
