Denmark is willing to enhance cooperation with China, especially in the fields of economy and technology, Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen said in Copenhagen on Tuesday.

"I'm very impressed by the economic development in China," Rasmussen told Chinese reporters.

"We've seen incredible growth and remarkable development in recent years," he said, adding that in the coming years the world will see stronger Chinese influence in both the economic and political fields.

Rasmussen said Denmark, which was one of the first countries to recognize the People's Republic of China, looks forward to celebrating the 60th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties next year.

Denmark would like to strengthen its relationship with China in all fields, not only economic and technological, but also the fields of energy and environment, he emphasized.

"We'll also deepen the friendship between the two peoples through tourism, culture and student exchanges," he said. "I see great prospects in the cooperation between China and Denmark."

On EU-China ties, he said the two sides share the view of developing the international community based on strong international law.

Reminiscing about his recent visits to China, Rasmussen said he and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao had agreed to boost bilateral ties.

The Danish prime minister's last visit to China was last October, when he also attended the 7th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) in Beijing.
