The city of Lanzhou will manage the water ecological environment of the Yellow River, according to a working conference presided over by Luan Kejun, mayor of Lanzhou, on April 19.

The project can help improve the cityscape and benefit the offspring, Luan noted. He required all the departments to realize its significance and make a detailed plan highlighting the historical culture, water conservation, environment improvement, and ecology restoration during the conference.

He emphasized that the functions of sightseeing, water conservation, cultural tourism, traffic relief, pollution control, wetland restoration should be enhanced when implementing the project. More international events can be held to make more people know about Lanzhou, he added.
