The book "Keywords to Understand Hehe Culture" was released during the 2022 Global Forum on Hehe Culture held Tuesday with the main venue in Tiantai county, Taizhou city, eastern China's Zhejiang province, and sub-venues in Tokyo, Japan, and Madrid, Spain.

Available in both Chinese and English, the book is a summation of the meanings and modern-day values of Hehe culture through keywords. From seven aspects including Hehe culture in contemporary society, its theoretical structure, cultural origins, exchange and mutual learning, inheritance, and cases of practice, the book showcases the Chinese wisdom of harmony in diversity, mutual benefits and win-win cooperation, as well as harmonious coexistence. The book also demonstrates that Hehe culture is an important part of Chinese culture and an essential cultural hallmark of the Chinese civilization, and that it manifests Chinese people's pursuit of peace, amity, and harmony.
The book was jointly planned by China International Communications Group (CICG), the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies under CICG, the China Academy of Translation, and the Information Office of Taizhou Municipal Government.
The book is part of the "Keywords to Understand China" program, which is initiated by CICG to convey China's ideas and tell China's stories through translation and interpretation of China-related keywords.
