An air hostess instructs a passenger in the use of wireless network service on Flight CA1405 which travels from Beijing to southwest China's city of Chengdu on Nov. 15, 2011. Air China, the country's largest carrier, started a trial of in-flight WiFi service on its Beijing-Chengdu air route as from Tuesday, which enables passengers to surf the Internet, play online games, make hotel reservations and chat with other passengers. The test period of the service expires on Dec. 31, 2011. The airline said it will eventually establish ground-to-air telecommunication on all its flights, allowing passengers to interact with their friends and family on the ground. [Xinhua/Wang Zemin] |
