A worker gets samples of the industrial oil produced from waste cooking oil for testing in the Luneng waste oil recycling company in Jiaxing, east China's Zhejiang Province, June 14, 2012. Everyday from 4:00 to 10:00 a.m., some 60 workers of Luneng will gather the swill-cooked oil, nicknamed "gutter oil," from nearly 2,000 restaurants which have signed recycling deals with Luneng. After a series of processing procedures, the gutter oil will be turned into industrial oil, bio-diesel or other kinds of fuel. Luneng can recycle about 78,000 tons of waste cooking oil each year at present, from which 2,405 tons of industrial oil are produced. [Xinhua] |
