Farmer tries to fly self-made plane in E. China

Zhang Xuelin, a farmer from Jinan, Shandong Province, tried to send his plane into the air on Nov. 29, 2012. Zhang spent almost a year making the 3.4-meter-long plane, which weighed more than 230 kilograms. But he failed to fly it after two hours of hard efforts. [Photo: CFP]
