Five boys from Chaoyang Village, Guizhou, died from suffocation in an abandoned tobacco curing shed yesterday afternoon, local authorities said. Investigations showed that they suffocated to death after the wet straws piled up in the shed had caught fire. Four of the boys were already dead when their bodies were discovered around 5:40 p.m., another one later died on the way to hospital. Hailing from different families, four of them were of the Buyi nationality, one was Miao. The oldest was a six-year-old; the youngest victim was only four. [Photo/Sina]
