Gunther von Hagens, born on Jan.10 1945, is a controversial German anatomist who invented the so-called "plastination" technique, used for the preservation of bodily tissue. At 68 years-old, he still runs his controversial museum exhibitions displaying plasticized bodies and cadavers.
His exhibitions show human bodies as well as animal cadavers striking life-like poses, dissected to display the various structures and internal systems of both human and animal anatomy.
