A Chinese soldier’s gravestone. The graveyard of 367 Chinese soldiers, who died in the Korean War (1950-1953), is located at No. 37 National Road of Dapgok-ri, Jeokseong-myeon, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do in the Republic of Korea, which is 6.3 kilometers away from the Demilitarized Zone. The graveyard, surrounded by a lush and green field, is divided in two zones - in the east, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s soldiers are buried; and in the west, both the DPRK and Chinese soldiers are buried. A road sign was built at the entrance of the graveyard. [Translated by Li Jingrong] |
