At least 56 people were killed when a train was derailed on Wednesday in one of Europe's worst rail disasters. The incident occurred as the train approached the north-western Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela at 8.40pm. A further 111 people were reported injured – many of them seriously – in the accident, the worst in Spain for 40 years. [Photo/Chinanews.com]
