The Munich Oktoberfest started its first-ever tour of Beijing at the Beijing Olympic Park on September 6, 2013. The festival, which will run until September 21, wows beer lovers with a full range of authentic traditional beers and food from Germany. It will be a great experience to drink, eat and enjoy the authentic Bavarian music and dance performances. The festival venue, which covers about 70,000 square meters, presents four large tents: Munich Oktoberfest, HB Hofbrauhaus, Schloss Neuschwanstein and Empress Sissi. All of them have a strong original Munich flavor. The Munich Oktoberfest Tent, which covers 13,000 square meters with more than 10,000 seats, is the world’s largest beer tent. The festival is the only Oktoberfest authorized by the Munich Oktoberfest Committee to be held outside of Germany. The Munich Oktoberfest, which celebrated its 179th edition last year, is the world’s largest beer festival. [Photo by Zhang Junmian/China.org.cn]
