Chinese stocks rally on upbeat economic data

Chinese shares rallied on Monday as newly released data concerning consumer inflation, producer price and foreign trade pointed to a strengthening national economy. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index surged 3.39 percent, or 72.52 points, to finish at 2,212.52.
