Panchen Lama holds Homa ritual

Panchen Erdeni Gyaincain Norbu on Tuesday holds the Homa (fire puja) in the city of Shigatse, Tibet Autonomous Region. Homa, a traditional ritual in the Tantra of Tibetan Buddhism, makes offerings into a consecrated fire. During the religious ritual, sacrifices, crops, tree branches and talismans are burnt in a bid to seek peace and stability from the deities.
