CityU confers honorary awards on Dr Yukio Hatoyama

City University of Hong Kong (CityU) conferred honorary doctorates on three prominent persons at the Honorary Awards Ceremony on November 12, 2013 in recognition of their significant achievements and contributions to the well-being of society. The three outstanding recipients were: Dr Yukio Hatoyama, President of the East Asian Community Institute; Mr Koo Ming-kown, founder of Nam Tai Electronics, Inc; and Professor Myron S. Scholes, Frank E. Buck Professor of Finance, Emeritus, at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Dr Yukio Hatoyama, President of the East Asian Community Institute, received an Honorary Doctor of Laws. As the 93rd Prime Minister of Japan from September 2009 to June 2010, Dr Hatoyama was the first ever Prime Minister from the Democratic Party of Japan. [Photo/CNS]
